Hi! My name is Eva (she/her), and I am the owner and acupuncturist here at Phenix Rising Acupuncture.

I am passionate about being my best self and helping people do the same. I love the uplifted feeling of living my values, being on top of my self-care, and feeling the vibrancy of life through my physical, emotional and spiritual self. This, to me, is thriving. Acupuncture has been a tremendous support to me on my journey of health and wellbeing, so much so that I went back to school to be able to offer this medicine to others.

I am a nationally certified Diplomate of Acupuncture and a Licensed Acupuncturist in the state of Colorado. Before receiving my master’s degree from Southwest Acupuncture College, I had the great privilege of educating 3–6-year-olds as a Montessori teacher and then raising my own babies at home for 10 years. As a part of living my values I draw upon over twenty years of meditation and retreat practice that deeply informs both how I relate to the practice of Chinese medicine and my life as a whole. Continuing my commitment to growth and learning, I just completed a yearlong program in Chinese herbal medicine and am continuing my studies in the Jade Purity lineage of classical Taoist medicine with Jeffery Yuen. I am enthusiastically married to a most loving man, and we have two beautiful children and a happy dog.

I would be delighted and honored to partner with you in becoming your best self, to support you towards thriving. No matter what that looks like for you, you can expect to receive my full presence and heartful acceptance of where you are now and where you want to be. It is important to me for you to feel heard, cared for, supported and empowered during our time together. A little laughter might sneak its way in too!

Phenix with no “o” you ask? Yep. Phenix is my maiden name, heartfully offered up in the union and creation of my partnership and family. Now it holds the legacy of my personal lineage story. The name of my practice, Phenix Rising, is a pretty awesome metaphor for both what I value and what the journey of Chinese medicine can offer!

When not at the clinic, I adore dancing to some good live bluegrass music, listening to conscious relationship and neurodiversity podcasts, getting up into the mountains for some fresh air and Colorado sunshine, enjoying homemade scones and a cup of hot tea on Saturday mornings with my family, and snuggling my children!

  • Eva Freeman is a masterful acupuncturist: supportive, kind, down-to-earth. I came to her very ill physically and incredibly depressed and anxious. After my first session with her, profound healing took place. Continuing to work with her, she restored my spirit and began to heal my depleted body. Recently, I suffered a traumatic brain injury and her treatments have been pivotal to my recovery. I have seen some of the most renowned acupuncturists and healers for decades. Eva Freeman is next level. A true healer.
